Celebrate Public Schools
PURPOSE
The Coalition of Democratic Allies is a strategic alliance of Democratic leaders, activists, and advocacy groups united around a shared goal: protecting and investing in Texas public schools. The coalition operates at the intersection of electoral politics and education policy, supporting candidates and initiatives that defend equitable, high-quality public education. Through grassroots organizing and policy advocacy, the Coalition amplifies pro-public school voices across urban and rural districts alike. Its influence is growing as education becomes a defining issue in Texas politics.
OUTREACH
The Coalition includes elected officials, Democratic precinct chairs, campaign staff, education policy experts, and community organizers. Many are former teachers, school board members, or public-school parents with deep roots in their communities. The group is intentionally multiracial, intergenerational, and geographically diverse, spanning large cities and rural counties. Members are bound by shared political values and a belief in the transformative power of public education.

Opposing Vouchers
The Coalition works to defeat legislation that diverts public funds to private or religious schools. Through coordinated messaging and legislative action, members rally constituents and decision-makers to protect the public education budget from erosion.
Electing Pro–Public School Democrats
The Coalition supports Democratic candidates who prioritize public education, from the school board to the State Capitol. This includes endorsements, fundraising, field coordination, and voter mobilization in key races.
Strategic Messaging
Members craft unified, values-based narratives that frame public education as foundational to democracy, equity, and the Texas economy. These messages help re-center education as a statewide priority and counter misleading privatization rhetoric.
